Dehradun, Feb 05: Alleging that Uttarakhand Transport Corporation is deliberately holding the benefits of sixth pay commission to its employees, Roadways Employees United Council on Thursday said they will launch an agitation to push for the pay revisions.
"Corporation officials are deliberately showing lose in their balance sheet to avoid giving benefits of the new pay commission to its employees," Council President Vijay Kumar Mamgaon said here.
A movement will be launched very soon, if we are not given the monitory benefit as recommended in the commission, he said.
Mamgaon, however, did not announced any date for it. Meanwhile, the association of Irrigation Department workers continued their demonstration for the second consecutive day today.
The workers gathered in front of the Chief Engineer and raised slogans demanding regularisation of their salary.
Association president N Bhatt said the demonstrations would be stepped up if their demands are not looked into immediately.
