DEHRA DUN: Telecommunications in Uttarakhand took a leap forward over the weekend with the launch of 3G mobile services in Dehra Dun by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
Describing the initiative as a bold step to usher in a new generation of communication tools, State Chief Secretary Indoo Kumar Pandey said the new service would go a long way in meeting the fast growing needs of the younger generation as well as the nation’s economy.
The services would soon be extended to 21 other towns of the State, said BSNL Chief General Manager Mahendra Kumar.
