Dehradun , June 7 Two persons have been killed by elephants in two incidents in Uttarakahand, forest officials said here today.
In the first incident, Mohd Danish (18) was killed by an elephant at Dhakuli village near the Jim Corbett National Park in Kumoan region yesterday.
Danish was placing a seat on the elephant, which is used for ferrying tourists, when in a fit of rage, the pachyderm lifted and threw him repeatedly on the ground.
The youth, who received severe head injuries, died on way to hospital.
An unidentified youth was also trampled to death by a heard of elephants at Kotdwar area of Pauri district last night.
