Four more cases of swine flu in Doon School

Dehra Dun, Sep 10 (PTI) Four more students of Doon School have tested positive for swine flu, taking the total number of affected children in the institution to nine.

Five students of the school tested positive for swine flu on Tuesday and four fresh cases were detected yesterday, officials said.

In the wake of the outbreak of the virus in the school, the Uttarakhand Health department has advised all schools in the hill state like Welham, Sherwood and Woodstock to keep a close watch on the students.

An advisory in this regard has already been sent to these schools, Pankaj Jain, the nodal officer for swine flu, said.

Inspections in various schools would also be carried out, officials said. All the schools have been told to keep stocks of Tamiflu tablets.

Besides Doon school, some cases of swine flu have surfaced in other schools of the state.
