Dehra Dun, Apr 10 (PTI) Two leopards, including a cub, were killed in separate incidents in Uttarakhand, officials said here today.

A leopard cub was found dead with burn wounds on its abdomen and legs at Dudhali area in Rajaji National Park in Haridwar yesterday when forest guards were patrolling the area, they said.

Preliminary examination of the carcass suggested that the animal might have died of burn injuries due to forest fire in the area.

In a separate incident, a leopard was clubbed to death by children after it attacked an old woman at Chaukhutia area of Almora district, the officials said.

60-year-old Amba Devi was working in the house when she was suddenly attacked by the leopard last evening. Hearing her shrieks, some children playing outside the house rushed to the spot and attacked the animal with sticks till it died, they said.
