Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), Jul 27 (PTI) A woman was today trampled to death by a wild elephant in Jim Corbett National Park, an official said here. The incident occurred in Jhirna range of Jim Corbett Reserve this morning when Tulsi Devi (45) along with other women went to the jungles to fetch fodder. She was suddenly attacked by the pachyderm, Warden of the Park Umesh Chandra Tiwari said. When the other women raised an alarm, the elephant left Devi with serious injuries. Soon, she was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
