Dehra Dun, Aug 6 (PTI) Doctors of government hospitals in Uttarakhand today withdrew their decision to boycot OPD after the state government assured them that it would look into their demand for cancellation of appointment of an IAS officer in the health directorate. The doctors had yesterday announced the boycot OPD from today protesting the appointment of Piyush Singh, an IAS, as Director (Administration) in health directorate alleging the government is interfering in the functioning of doctors. However, government officials today invited doctors for talks and assured them that their demand would be sympathetically looked into, following which they decided to withdraw their call of boycot of OPD, said Dr D P Joshi, General Secretary of Prantiya Chiktsa evan Swasthya Sangh.
