350 pilgrims rescued from Tehri


A group of 350 pilgrims, who were stranded in Chiniyali Saur near Tehri district of Uttarakhand, have been safely rescued.

The group was on its way to the Chardham Yatra when they got trapped in Chiniyali due to rough weather, continuous rains and landslides in the region.

The state administration had launched operations to salvage them.

The pilgrims, who belong to Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and other states are now being brought to Tehri.
