Pithoragarh, Feb 4 (PTI) A former district panchayat president here today said she did not complain to the Uttarakhand Governor that some BJP leaders "exploited" her, as reported in the media.
A letter was circulated to media bearing Ranjana Devi''s signature pleading to the Uttarakhand Governor for a CBI probe into her "exploitation" by some BJP leaders during her 30-month tenure as zila panchayat chief.
"Some people came to me and said that they are writing to Uttarakhand Governor about the political discrimination against me in passing no-confidence motion against me in Pithoragarh zila panchayat on January 19. But these people wrote otherwise and circulated it in the press," Devi said.
The letter had alleged that BJP leaders, including the party state president, took her on tours and "exploited" her threatening to dislodge her from her post.
