''Atal Foodgrain Scheme'' to begin in U''kand on Feb 11

Dehradun, Feb 8 (PTI) BJP president Nitin Gadkari willinaugurate the ''Atal Foodgrain Scheme'' in Uttarakhand onFebruary 11, Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said heretoday.

The scheme will be inaugurated by state ministers inother districts, he said.

"The state government is pro-common man and its toppriority is to provide affordable food grains to every citizenof the state, especially to the people below poverty line(BPL)," Nishank told reporters after attending a meeting atthe party office here.

He said all the preparations to start the scheme havebeen completed and wheat for Rs 2 per kg and rice for Rs 3 perkg would be distributed to the BPL families.
