Trekking in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand is a beautiful place that is completely conferred with nature and its charm. This location holds Bihar in the East, Delhi in West, Madhya Pradesh in the South corner and Nepal in the North corner. Mostly people come to this place for adventurous sports like Trekking. The trekking routes of this place are spellbinding and enthralling. The potentialities of trekking, river rafting, skiing, and mountaineering are limitless. The trekkers and tourists have special interest and excitement in Kumaon and Garhwal areas. Uttarakhand is a paradise on earth. It is like a perfect treat for the trekking partisans.

The famous and most preferred trekking places in Uttarakhand are Chopta Chandrashila Trek present in the Garhwal Himalayas, Dodital Trek which is an elegant lake having crystal clean water stream, and Bedni Bugyal Trek which is one amongst the largest bugyals available in Uttarakhand. The other trekking places include Roopkund Kuari Pass Trek which is a frozen lake of Almora and is situated on remote area and high altitude and Valley of Flowers Trek which is completely hustling with vibrant, lively and charming flowers. This flower valley is the biggest accumulation of wild flower species.

In order to get there you can choose anything from airways, railways and roadways. Uttarakhand had only two airports that are the Jolly Grant Airport situated in Dehradun and the other situated at Pant Nagar, near by Nainital. The Dehradun airport offers daily flights whereas the Pant Nagar airport offers limited flights. Well, the roads are also well built and established. Uttarakhand is linked to Delhi and various other State Highways.

State buses, deluxe buses and private buses are easily available in Uttarakhand. The major railway stations are present in Kathgodam, Haridwar and Dehradun. These three railheads are linked to other Indian cities through passenger trains and super fast express trains.
