A famous centre for pilgrimage and the starting point of most of the adventurous activities, Joshimath is an 1890m high hill station in Uttarakhand. It is the gateway to Hem Kund and Badrinath Temple. Vishnuprayag, the confluence of Alkananda and Dhauliganga is located at the foothill of this mountainous region. Joshimath is the base of Kuari Pass Treks, Valley of Flowers and Auli Ski Resort. A number of tour organizers arrange trekking, skiing, white water rafting, and mountain climbing packages on demand.
