Ramgarh / Mukteshwar

Ramgarh (6500+ ft asl) is known for its orchards (Apple, Apricot etc.), off-beat fervour and therefore a popular weekend getaway. The orchards are harvested in summer and one can literally pick apples, plums etc. by the roadside.

Mukteshwar (7000+ ft asl), 25 kms farther from Ramgarh, is known for its Himalayan views (Oct-Mar), birding and adventure activities. It is also visited for the Shiva temple.

Area around Mukteshwar is full of forests, valley views and excellent for walks, bird watching and a generally relaxed off-beat stay.

During Monsoon it doesn’t rain too heavily and area turns green and good for a “do nothing” getaway.

Summer: April - June
