Alva releases Rodrigues' book

Dehra Dun, Jan 29 (PTI) Uttarakhand Governor Margaret Alva released UK-based author Abha Sharma Rodrigues' book "Fifteen Mantras for the empowered women", a well researched work about women achievers right from President Pratibha Patil to various Bollywood actresses.

After the release of the book at a function organised at Raj Bhavan last evening, Rodrigues said her book is about women, their struggles and achievements.

She said her book is a well researched work about women achievers right from President Pratibha Patil to various Bollywood actress. J K Rowling of Harry Potter series fame has also found a place in the book for the success she achieved against all odds, Rodrigues added.

The book uses real life stories of women from all over the world belonging to different religious backgrounds, alongside film, poetry, drama and portraits to appeal a wide variety of audience.
