Jageshwar

Jageshwar is a beautiful hill station surrounded by dense Deodar Trees and is also a Hindu pilgrimage dedicated to Lord Shiva’s 8 Jyotirling. It is a complex of 124 large and small temples in the mid of the countless Deodars which makes it very surreal and artistic scenic beauty. Temple was built in the 9th Century, it is believed that ‘Adi Shankaracharya’ visited this place and renovated the temples before leaving for Kedarnath.

The place is very serene and climate conditions are cool even in the hottest summers, it’s all because of Deodar jungles. It is a perfect place for nature lovers who can spiritualize themselves and their souls by mixing it with the climate. Many times I have seen travelers going into the jungle with a purpose to get lost and feel the raw nature. This place is not only for pilgrimage but for superb vistas also.
